We loved our stay at the Cahergal Farm House B&B. The view from the back patio is beautiful--fields crossed by rock walls, sheep in the distance, cows walking by, and a two day old foal in the field. The hostess was gracious and engaging. The house and guest rooms and sitting rooms are lovely. Caheregal is a very short drive to Shannon Airport which makes an early morning flight very easy to catch. All this and a very good breakfast make the Cahergal Farm an excellent choice. We hope to visit again.

A wonderful experience. Gracious hosts Noreen and Michael, made my stay unbelievably pleasant and comfortable. I did not want to leave and was actually sad to go. This place feels so much like home that you will not want to leave. I am already planning my return trip to Ireland and Cahergal Farm House will be my home away from home and place to stay and work from for all day trips and sight seeing. I highly recommend staying at Cahergal Farmstead.

hat a comfortable, albeit too short, stay we had at Cahergal House. We had a late arrival and had to leave pretty early the next day. Breakfast was fantastic and relaxing. The grounds were just beautiful. When we return to Ireland, we will hopefully be able to stay again, since it is close to family! Thank you for a memorable stay!

The B&B was lovely. We had the most beautiful view. All the little spring lambs were out and about. The owner took plenty of time to give us her insight as to where to go, what sights to see, and what we might be able to miss in the interest of time. Her recommendations were spot on! The B&B itself is beautiful and quite spacious. We cannot wait until our next trip to Ireland to return!

We stayed in the Cahergal Farmhouse in May of 2015 and had a fabulous stay. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. The food was delicious. Even more outstanding was the owner, Michael, and his two sons Paul and Michael. They were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We'd definitely like to return to Ireland again and stay in the farmhouse. I'd recommend it.

We loved our stay at Cahergal Farm House and wished only that it had been longer. The farmhouse is beautiful and tastefully decorated, with elegant shared spaces and spacious, comfortable bedrooms. Our hostess Noreen could not have been kinder or more gracious, insisting on serving our breakfast earlier than the usual starting time so that we wouldn't risk missing our flight home. Shannon Airport is a convenient 10-minute drive. The farmhouse opens on to a terrace and rose garden that overlooks a paddock where Noreen's thoroughbreds graze. Such a tranquil, lovely spot -- the perfect grace note to our Irish vacation. I can't recommend Cahergal Farm House highly enough.

Noreen and her husband were gracious hosts that clearly take pride in their home and farm. The room was spacious and comfortable as was the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and the icing on the cake was getting a tour of the 400 year old family farm. I would have loved to stay a few more days. It is close to many popular attractions but not in the hub of activity which was a nice change of pace for us.

Good friendly welcome. Comfortable accommodation in the original house so we wouldn't be disturbed by a guest baby in the main house! Ten minutes drive from Shannon Airport so it was perfect for an early flight.

We stayed in the Guesthouse behind the main house with my brother and his wife and had a fabulous time. Noreen and her husband, Michael, are terrific hosts with great suggestions for what to do and see. The property itself is a working cattle farm in a beautiful rural location that's perfectly situated for seeing the sites of Clare Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, etc.. Thanks Noreen and Michael for making our stay so enjoyable.

Noreen and Michael were very hospitable hosts and we enjoyed our first farmhouse stay very much. Michael gave us a full personal tour of the working farm where we got to see all the animals and learn about day-to-day operations. Noreen made a wonderful breakfast every morning, and the scones were delicious. She also suggested a great place for us to visit the Loop Head trail.

I love B&B's that are rural and this one on a working farm was just perfect! Noreen was a fabulous host, that felt more like an instant friend. The whole place was very clean and cozy and the breakfast were made to order what you wanted. The breakfast area and lounge area are large and full of windows that let in the sun. It was so relaxing to look out on the green fields and rock walls and watch the contented cows and calves munch away on the green grass. There's an outside area with table and chairs. Very relaxing and hassle free

My husband stayed at this lovely country B and B for one night . We chose it for its proximity to the shanon airport-10 minutes. This B and B is lovely and peaceful - complete with grazing sheep. Noreen, the proprietor, couldn't have been nicer! She greeted us upon arrival and gave us info on a driving route and an excellent pub. She also made a nice breakfast for us. We heartily recommend this cozy B and B!

The family who own Cahergal have an incredibly beautiful farm. The pictures cannot do it justice. The first morning we woke up to meet a 5 hour old foal! The food is homemade and delicious. You must try the scones. My regret is that we did not book more nights there. This would have been a perfect "slow down" beginning to our stay in Ireland. It is just minutes from Shannon Airport.

Noreen gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. Looking out over the farm from our window and watching the many animals in the fields was an extremely relaxing and pleasant way to end our stay in Ireland. Finally, Cahergal Farm House B&B was surprisingly convenient to Shannon Airport.

A lovely farmhouse in a beautiful country setting. Close to Shannon Airport and environs. The family room ensuite was renovated just three years ago and is very comfortable with two adjoining rooms. However, we felt the proprietor might have been better prepared for our arrival with someone to greet us who was familiar with the property and directions to the nearest village, so we could get a bite to eat. Since she was away for the afternoon, a more detailed brochure left in our bedroom would have been helpful.

Cahergal felt like the Irish country home of my dreams. It is probably just as well that we stayed there on our last night in Ireland...otherwise I wouldn't have wanted to go elsewhere! We stayed at several B&Bs during our trip, and this one was second to none. If you go, say hi to my buddy Jack- he's probably waiting in the front paddock.

This was the first place we stayed upon our arrival to Ireland. Noreen was very warm and welcoming. The property is beautiful, quiet, and, peaceful. We loved it! The food was delicious. It was the perfect introduction to wonderful Ireland! We want to return to Cahergal ASAP. Highly recommend!!!

We loved our experience at Cahergal so much! A night at this family farm was a perfect stop for us, between a night in Kenmare and a night in Galway. It was so close to the Cliffs of Moher! Noreen was very accommodating and even set up a little area outside on the patio for us to have a picnic when we arrived. Our rooms and bathrooms were comfortable, clean and larger than expected. Breakfast was delicious, and touring the farm with Noreen's husband Michael was a highlight of our whole trip. Exactly what we were looking for in a farmhouse stay!

Noreen has THE BEST B&B in all of Ireland. I challenge anyone to find a better hostess and host. I have been here many times and I always look forward to coming back. So close to the Shannon airport too. Easy to stay here as I start my Irish vacations and a great place to stay before I fly out. I feel like a member of the family at Cahergal Farm.

Cahergal Farm House was simply lovely. Though we arrived unexpectedly, we were received graciously and given a very nice room. The place is beautiful, surrounded by pretty green fields filled with cows, sheep and horses. The farm has been in the same family for 8 generations, and it has been maintained lovingly. Everything was clean and comfortable, and our breakfasts were delicious.

We spent our first night in Ireland here, which was recommended by a travel-writer acquaintance. It was the warmest welcome! The room was lovely, the grounds quintessential Irish farmland, and the home inviting with plenty of space to take it all in. Noreen makes the best omelette in Ireland and is genuine when she joins you in a chat. Most definitely on our list to return to!
